WHAT IS PICKLEBALL?

Pickleball is a bat and ball game and is a low-impact sport that is easy to learn and play at almost any age, this sport for life is regularly described as the fastest growing sport worldwide.

Pickleball, often described as a combination of tennis, Ping-Pong and badminton and is played on the same size as a doubles badminton court. The net height of a pickleball court is 36 inches high at the sidelines and 34 inches high in the middle.

Pickleball can be played in singles or doubles format. Players use a small graphite or fiberglass paddle to hit a 'wiffle ball' a plastic ball with holes all around allowing the ball to move through the air much cleaner than a tennis ball.

Pickleball gives you a good aerobic workout without as much stress and strain on joints and muscles.

THE MAIN RULES

"THE KITCHEN"
A boxed area located seven feet off the net on both sides of the court. You can only enter the kitchen if the ball has bounced once in the kitchen to hit. No volleys allowed.

THE TWO BOUNCE RULE
The ball must bounce at least once on each side of the court after a player serves the ball in. After, players can volley anytime.

YOU MUST SERVE AT THE BASELINE
Serve underhand and below the waistline, hitting the ball diagonally over the net and across the court. If it hits the kitchen it's a fault.

THE GAME ENDS AT 11, 15, OR 21 POINTS
